    Opinion

    Addition:
    For non-exempt employees, California law requires that non-exempt employees be paid overtime for more than eight hours worked in a day, or more than 40 hours worked in a week.

    In other states also applies the rule not only in California. I've known some other countries as well in Asia with the same rule for working more than 40 hours per week should be paid OT.
