speeding ticket
I don't travel at the speed limit on the highway and most people don't. I recently got a ticket for doing 130 km/h on a 100 km/h highway which I have been doing for years. How much faster can I drive over the speed limit and not get a ticket?

I think the idea of the 10 mph relaxation is to accommodate mechanical error.
I have just bought an Audi S4 and I have a clean licence at the moment I wonder how long this will last?

Unfortunately for you, rules are rules. And, you also confirmed that you were on 130 km/h. That's happens all of us. I don't know a single men who didn't get payed penalty for traffic violation. Some people pay for speeding, other for parking,... That is life, deal with it and try to don't think about that anymore. Till next time...

I've noticed it really depends on what state/Provence your driving in and where your license plates are from. I have gotten a couple speeding tickets in college that I believe were from my out of state plates because I was going 4 mph over the limit and another for 5 mph. over.

A good Rule of Thumb
9 your fine ... 10 your mine ... or at least that is what I have always done while patrolling, and I know most other officers think the same way. When I travel ... I normally lock the cruise control in at 9 over. I have never had an issue. I know the State boys normally won't stop you unless your doing 12 or more. But I can't speak for all officers.

I think it's the officer's decision.
