Post California - Tinted Glass citation

    Hello:

I was cited for having a tinted glass on the drivers and passenger's side. On the citation, none of the check boxes for Correctable violation (Veh. code 40610) are checked.

I removed the tinted glass and went to police station to get the certificate of correction on the back of citation signed by an officer.

When i went to the superior court to give the citation, the court personnel charged me $25. Do i need to pay $25 even though there is no Correctable violation?

    Thank you,

I'm not to sure on CA law regarding this; but, most likely you'll have to pay the $25... is it lower than the inital citation cost?

There is no prior citation cost.

Citation officer mentioned that this is a 1st time warning and if tint is not removed will be charged, for the subsequent citation.
