    Abandoned property?

A roommate moved out several months ago and left a lot of stuff; furniture, stereo equipment, and other odds and ends. I have since moved to a different apartment and brought all his property with me.
I recently told him that he had a month to come get his stuff or I would get rid of it.

Can I do this? Can I sell/donate/ or trash the stuff?
How long does it take to consider it abandoned property?

Try to consult a expert or attorney on this.. Don't trash his things until you don't what to do, for assurance..

My point is that you don't have the right to deal with your room mate property because they are not yours, until the original owner told you so.
