Were you referring to the insurance company or did you mean how you will you know if you have a possible lawsuit on your hands? After a serious car accident, especially one where you were injured, it's best to contact a personal injury lawyer. The consultation is usually free and they can better discuss your options with you. Hiring an attorney will probably help you in the long run and make sure you get the best settlement you're entitled to. Be prepared for this process to some time. If you find yourself struggling financially during that time, lawsuit funding might be a possibility for you. Orchard Legal Funding is company that could help you.

It's very easy. Just you have to inform them, that you have made an accident. After that your insurance company will contact with you.

    Insurance Claim Definition

An insurance claim is the actual application for benefits provided by an insurance company. you must first file an insurance claim before any money can be disbursed to the hospital or repair shop or other contracted service. The approval of the claim is based on their assessment of the circumstances you were involved. Therefore, they may or may not approve your claim.

In general, the insurance claim is filed with a local representative of the insurance company. This agent are responsible for investigating the specific details of the insurance claim and negotiating the payment from the main insurers. Many times a recognized authority (doctor, repair shop, building contractor) can file the necessary insurance claim forms directly with the insurance company. However, sometimes the policy holder may not want to file an actual insurance claim if the damage is minor or another party has agreed to pay out-of-pocket for their mistake. An insurance claim is the only way to officially apply for benefits under an insurance policy, but until the insurance company has assessed the situation it will remain only a claim, not a pay-out. Yet it is better to get a personal injury lawyer for they know exctly the things that you should do.

    car insurance

I was involved in a car accident in LA. I had to have leg surgery because of it. I just got an attorney in LA and now I have concern. Now my attorney is asking about what kind of auto insurance with me has. I am confused why attorney is worried about my insurance? Is this regular?

Many insurance companies have a habit of finding ways to deny your claim or at least pay you a smaller amount than you deserved. You may ask why they would do that when it is their duty to take care of expenses from accidents caused by their clients.
