    Internet Fraud Related Question

    Hello all.

I was looking for a job on craigslist, and I have noticed that some people are responding to my resume by saying that I have been given an interview and that I should learn about _____ before I come to the interview. They then send me to their affiliate link to make money off of me.

My question is: is it illegal to make a fake company website and offer an interview to someone as an incentive even though that interview is not real?
Can these people go to jail?

    Thanks.

Well good job detecting this, im no qualified expert, but I would assume it might be illegal since there is no real job interview, it's essentially a scam.

I think that was illegal because they don't have permission to create a site on their company.
