Attorney to Attorney question
Hi-
I own a company, and we employ an attorney in California (we are based in california). We need to start filing cases in Nevada, Florida, Arizona and Colorado.
I have looked at multi-jurisdictional applications, but it seems to me they all require an attorney in state to file. Anyone have experience filing in multiple jurisdictions? Advice on how to do this?

Whenever I have dealt with a company that needs to file in another state, I recommend finding legal counsel there to do it. Although I could waive in for a case, I always worry that there may be rules that I don't know about that may come into play (for example, some states have franchise fees, special rules for licensing, etc). I know Colorado law, but ask me about another state and your guess would be as good as mine!
Other attorneys may disagree, but I'd rather be sure that the company I represent is doing it right the first time.Elizabeth Lewis, Esq.
