I took out a $50,000 mortgage with HomEq Servicing last year. I had an unexpected court ordered garnishment which took half of my paycheck. I called HomEq Servicing to let them know and to work out some sort of arrangements. They would not work with me. They are foreclosing and we have been to court. In New Mexico, their attorney has to put a notice in the paper for four consecutive weeks and then the house will be auctioned off.
My husband has pancreatic cancer and is dying. We have Hospice coming in. My question is -- does anyone know how I can stop this foreclosure and auction until my husband passes away? This is his family home, he grew up here and I think he needs to die here. Can anyone help me?
