Errors involving prescription medications may occur at any stage in the drug administration chain: a manufacturer, a prescribing doctor, a nurse, or a pharmacist may commit negligent mistakes that lead to injury of patients. Understaffing in pharmacies and hospitals often create circumstances that lend themselves to the commission of errors. Prescription drug errors are in fact a cause of death for many.

Post Med malpractice

Medical malpractice, contrary to general belief, is not just confined to negligence caused by surgeons and physicians. Therapists, pharmacists and dentists are included as well together with the assistant medical providers like nurses and other medical staff.

Even medical facilities, clinics, pharmacies and other medical establishments can be made liable for medical malpractice.

If you believe that you were made a victim of medical malpractice or hospital errors, you may want to consider conferring with a medical malpractice attorney.

I totally agree with lakeswimmer. In such a case, the doctor will be held liable for sure.

Default Definitely!

Yes, a doctor who provided a wrong prescription can be held liable for that and you can start the process by consulting an attorney who specalizes in such malpractise suits. Quite often, your local doctor may coerce you to try out a certain drug and this he or she does on the behalf of the drug company. Either way, from providimng erroneous prescriptions to coercing you to take a more expensive drug when the same generic drug is available as well, is often considered a case fit for the courts.
