    Court Attire

Just for future reference, would it be acceptable to wear a vest with a long-sleeved shirt and pants as opposed to a jacket suit? Thanks for all your responses.

    Court Attire P.S.

I'm sorry for the double-post, but in the last post I meant to add "in court, during a trial" somewhere in there. Again, sorry about the double post!

I think there's no cases on the attire in court they just need your ideas or opinions about the cases.

just look presentable and professional. a nice vest can do that just as well as a jacket

maybe even wear a jacket with the vest, and when you get up to do your thing, take the jacket off and put it on the chair.

i mean, whatever makes you look good and feel confident is what matters.

    Just look proffesional

I agree, you just have to look proffesional, I think it is more important to be less dressy but be well presented than the oposite.

Yes, what is important is that you must look presentable but not that dressy. It is not however advisable to just go in the court room with just a shirt on.

It really depends on whether you are a plaintiff, defendant, attorney, etc... Your attorney (if you are not one), should recommend proper attire which can possibly sit well with the jury.

I am sure many of you watch court tv, in session, you will notice they state attire actually has a huge impact on how the jury feels about you. Keeping this in mind, no matter what my reason in court, I would always dress my best, nothing too fancy. Just my .02 cents.
