Thread: Help for Law Students

If there are any law students on the forum who have questions about courses please feel free to let me know. I personally know many professors from both Canadian and American universities and I can help you find answers to your questions.

Feel free to post any questions about your law courses here and I will help you get this answered. As a previous law student myself I understand how stressful some courses may be!

Follow these steps:

Step 1- Decide what's important to you - Flexibility or Structure? Plenty of Classroom Time or Loads of Practice Material? Serious Atmosphere or a Relaxed One? Small Classes? On-line Course?

Step 2- Contact the companies and get specifics on your local teacher's experience and enthusiasm.

Step 3- Choose a course. Optional - If you have not taken a logic course, consider either taking one before your LSAT class, or purchasing Richard Feldman's Reason & Argument, an excellent introduction to the basics of logic.

Thanks for posting those 3 steps that seem to be essential when choosing a law university. Is cross-practicing possible, by which I mean, for example you have studied in the US but later want to work in Canada, is that possible? Probably not right? because of the legislative differences? Or is the system more or less the same. I guess this wouldn't make sense really.

As a future civil law student what should be expected for the first year?
Also, is there any way to prepare one's self for their first year? Such as, reading books ahead of time?

I am ready to give them any help they want in future.

I won my Law school in Serbia, Europe, the continental system, the international department.Is it possible to gain practice in another country,precisely in USA, and if there is any possibility what are the the conditions,considering that these are two different legal systems ? Those tips for choosing courses are really great. Also something to consider is what is going to be the most helpful when taking the bar!
