Distressing, copyright infringing material. Can anyone help me? hi,
i am desperately trying to find help with removing some illegally displayed content that's very personally distressing, and also against copyright law.
i understand a basic abuse report procedure, and how to find contact details for a website through an IP address. The one good thing is that these sites displaying this content are predominantly in the usa so accept a dmca.
However, im having difficulties finding contact information if a website owns its own server (therefore i cannot report to a host), and also im not sure how to approach them if their country does not accept dmca's. i am particularly concerned about thepiratebay.org in sweden.
if it helps at all, the content is pornographic images/video of an anorexic girl on medication. i have documentation to prove this, but did sign a model release. however, the websites in question are using the content illegally either way - they are not affiliated to the copyright owner, who i came to an agreement with in order for them to stop displaying this content. the websites in question are hosting the content illegally.
please can you help me, or direct me the right way for advice?

What do the terms of the model release state? Sometimes, in releases like these, the model gives permission to the copyright owner to use the images any way he/she pleases.

It may well do you're right - I'd say this release would give the photographer permission to sell to whoever. However the copyright owners - after I paid them - are cooperative in the sense they have removed the content from their own site and don't mind me asking their affiliates to do the same.
don't mind me emailing their affiliates and asking them to do the same.
My main problem lies in a) contacting sites that own their own server like piratebay.org (usually you can report illegal content to a sites server provider if the website owner doesn't respond), and approaching sites outside of the usa and uk as I'm not sure what laws apply there (we have a dmca notice for usa and uk I think)
