    Going into Patent Law

    I was recently told that you need to have a "technical" degree in order to practice patent law. Does anyone have more insight on this matter?

    Yes there is a technical requirement that you "Obtain a Bachelor's degree in a field of technology recognized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). "

    It's a really really long list of science programs and there are several different categories. The entire list is on this document:
