    I think someone had bought a domain right after I emptied it from my cart...

    and now I want acquire it.

    The domain isn't copyrighted .

    Once someone buys the domain name they own it during the entire registration period they paid for; this includes if they renew it prior to it expiring. They also have 30-90 days after it expires to renew it before it's released back to the public. I'd suggest looking for another domain name since it would be atleast 12-14 months before you could attempt to register it yourself.

    Yeah, its pretty much first come first serve. Similar thing happened to me once.. Check back in a year and maybe they will let it expire. Good luck

    Technically speaking if you purchase the domain from a domain service provider, then the copyright is held jointly between the service provider and the buyer. Sorry it won’t be possible to help in this case.
