    Need Suggestions on music copyrighting?

    I have composed eight songs and now want them to introduce in the music market but before that I want to make copyright of them so that to avoid its duplicity. Can anyone help me to find out where I can get the copyrights for my music?

    My cousin who is also a music composer faced the same problem when he first time made his compositions released that time he came across an online service that really helped him to make the copyright of his compositions. I will recommend you also the same service so that you can also make the copyright of your compositions. All the best!

    1. Get the proper forms. The form needed for a sound recording to copyright is the Form SR and possibly Form CON. The form for Performing Arts, such as what people listen to on the radio, from Cd's, and live, is the Form PA or Short Form PA, and possibly Form CON. These copyright forms can be requested at (202) 707-3000, requested through mail at US Copyright Office Library of Congress Washington D.C. 20559, or found on the Internet at external links #1 and #2.
    2. Fill out the forms. Read the instructions carefully and fill it out exactly how explained.

    3. Send it to
    * Library of Congress
    * Copyright Office
    * Independence Avenue, S.E.
    * Washington, D.C. 20559-6000

    4. Include $45 and a non-returnable copy of the music.
    5. If your submission was filled out right, you will get a certificate of registration in the next 4-5 months.

    you will want to register that copyright with the copyright office. This will protect you in the event that someone, somewhere, steals one of your songs and claims it as their own. Registering a copyright is not difficult, and whether you want to copyright just a single song (for possible digital distribution) or an entire CD of collected works, the process is the same. Just fill out Form SR, which you can get from the U.S. Copyright Office, and submit it with two copies of your CD (or a CD single) and $45 to the Library of Congress at the address on the form. Once you do that, every song on the CD you submitted is protected.

    You have to secure the copyright of your music into copyright office in your country. It's amazing to compose songs. It is the product of passion, skills and hard work and it feels not good if somebody just duplicates it and claims it as their own.
