Canadian Jamaican immigration papers question
I am getting ready to submit my husband's sponsorship papers (he is Jamaican) he was here on farm work and ran off the farm the first year. That was 2 years ago. We are married and I am now sponsoring him. My question is this. The one question on the forms asks if he has legally been in this country for a period of at least one year. He has not. If my answer is no then the papers will be processed in Jamica. He has been living here ever since. If the papers get processed in Jamaica will they issue him a removal order? If so, how can I have the papers proceed here???? I don't want to lie on the papers but we really want them proceeded here.
