    I had a robbery case.

I had a robbery case in the U.S. in 1995 and was sentenced to 9 years with 85%. Later, I was picked up by immigration and deported for the case in question. While I was in immigration jail I fought my case and won it but immigration appealed it on the first court. I decided to return voluntarily to my country instead of fighting my case over. Now I want to return home in the U.S.. I want to know how do I go about reopening my case.

So your case went to the Board of Immigration Appeals? You were awaiting trial, but then decided to go home? Can you give us more details please? You can also try calling the US Citizenship and Immigration Services at 1-800-767-1833 or make an appointment with your local consulate.

    No,

when a person starts off in immigration they go to their preliminary hearing where their case is explained to them (charges, etc.). I prepared my case after my preliminary hearing and took it to first court - out of 12 courts - and the ruling was in my favor. Immigration then appealed the decision, I ran out of money for a lawyer and voluntarily departed the U.S.
