It's my understanding that lawyers have a directory which indicates who is providing legal services to a client so as to prevent duplication on the same case and/or services.

Located in the Seattle, Washington area; an attempt to receive legal advice and/or services from a local attorney failed. I then made a request in an unconventional manner for a Vancouver, Canada attorney to represent me in matters of crimminal, wrongful termination, business formation & IP, and injury. Even though I have not received any confirmation in writing as to who is representing me; I was told that a Vancouver, B.C. attorney did in fact get involved and did file papers(claims) with the U.S. Justice Dept.
