Hi everyone, I am joining you from Sydney, Australia. I am looking for your help to find my sister. A few years back my father had been to US and later he was back to Australia where he married a lady(the lady is now my mom). Later, I was born and when I grew up he revealed to me that I have a sister in California. I know her name and the initials but now I am not sure that whether I should make a search for her as I don

I certainly hope that you find your sister and that too in good health. But since the difficulty is about her existence I believe that you need to find if a death certificate exists for her. If there is no certificate found, then probably the chances of making a search for her will be fruitful. You can have a death records searchand then you may decide the further steps. Its good that you know her name and state

Are you serious? Why would you start with a death record search when searching for a person? As he has no idea about her situation, he should obviously start with searching for an ALIVE person.
If you have her name I would of course start with doing an internet search on her. If you know where she was living at some time in her live calling the town administration would be the next logical step.

Because there is no point in searching for a person if they are dead. Death records are not too hard to come by and if there is none listed, chances are they are alive and so a search would be worthy.

if it is true then you have to search your sister. you have to contact to California police and give them all the data of your sister. i think that they can help you to find out your sister.
