    Question Employment Harrassment

    I'm asking for myself and for my co-workers. There is a Property Manager going around the office gossiping about my supervisor and co-workers to another department. He's making false accusations and lies about us to gain friendship of the other department to be on his side. My Director was let go not too long ago, because of him and other PM's in our region. Ever since then, he's been threatening my co-worker and supervisor with their jobs. He does not hide was he says, because he says it loud enough for my other co-worker to hear. The office morale is very negative and unpleasant to work in because of what he has done and said behind our backs. This was brought to our current Director, which he filed a complaint with HR. HR called our President and asked him what was going on. The President pulls my supervisor in for a private meeting and she layed out everything on the table with what this Property Manager is doing. Then the President called a meeting with everyone, except for the two people in the other department who were not in the office. He made everyone aware that the BS that is going on in the office needs to stop. But it continues til this day and yesterday, my supervisor was told that the other department person brought a complaint against her and this was his way of telling her, "I'm giving you a heads-up." Now my supervisor is on edge about her job and does not know who to turn too. This PM is denying that he ever said things and lying to our current Director about things he said to me and his assistant. Making me out looking like a lyer. What to do??? Please advise, anything will help.

    Solution:
    First thing to do is to make sure you follow what the company procedure has laid out to you, therefore follow whatever you must do in the staff handbook and therefore who you need to speak to about these issues. If your supervisor is no longer in the position to handle the complaint or your concerns then you should approach the next appropriate person. Make sure all you say and when you have made these concerns known are recorded. If still nothing happens then you should see where you stand legally, within your contract of employment and the impact of the director’s actions. In order to do this you will need to speak with someone who has the correct legal knowledge in this area. You could try the CAB who may have someone who can help you, but the concern with the CAB is that they may not have the best legal advice and so speaking to someone with direct legal knowledge is best, you should try calling quality solicitors first of all as the first consultation is free and it is so simple to just ring them and let them help you.

    i heard from fomer teacher that she got one in Canada. one guy kiss her neck very suddently. the poor guy got fire after that.

    Harassment in the workplace can be defined as actions that cause significant distress to another person who wants to destroy, frighten or emotionally abuse him. The federal and state laws on harassment still describes what is and is not harassment situations.Harassment different is the verbal or physical violence with race, religion, age, sex, disability or other protected status.

    In fact, the employer can do it too much. I do not agree with you that you have them to file writ petition in the High Court which comes under the jurisdiction should teach you good lession. Once you reach the high court, they high court to take seriously their policy and management will also hammer.

    All in all the company has very bad management since they let such employee-staff relationship go worse.
