Unwanted - cost of personal fuel to be withheld from my paycheck

I work at an environmental consulting firm where the vast majority of employees work at temporary customer jobsites throughout each day, and have no permanent place of work provided by the employer.

Each employee uses their personal vehicle to perform their job and travel from site to site, and then they get reimbursed by the company for the use of their vehicle.

The company is changing their mileage reimbursement program from a flat rate per mile driven between work locations (25.5 cents per mile) to using a fuel card system.

This is really confusing me quite a bit; now, your employer wants you to use a fuel card to pay for all the fuel used in your vehicle, I've gotten this far. Now, what you fail to explain is how can the company dictate what was work related and what was not, in theory this would hurt the company since they couldn't accurately make sure employees weren't claiming personal fuel. If you have any letters or memos regarding this change can you post it to the forum so I can review it and see if I can better understand the situation and help you out.

You have to ask the HR to clarify things over so that your personal fuel won't be compromised.
