I'm active duty military, and have had multiple states provide me with a Driver's License. I'm now back in California, where I received my DUI and have gone through all the court and whatnot. I received a letter from the DMV stating that my california license would be supsended.

Now heres the thing, its been expired for 4 years, and is not tied with any of my insurance paperwork at all. My active, current license is a Colorado license (which I gave to the police when I was arrested).

Now, I have to get an SR-22 to re-instate my California Drivers license, but... its been expired for 4 years... would there be an point in doing so?

Since Im active duty military, I dont have to have a license from the state I reside in, so Im thinking that the system made a mistake, should I correct this, or go about my way with my CO drivers license which has no on it, and Ive had for the last 4+ years?

Thank you for any suggestions\help given in regards to this, its greatly appreciated.
