Question Am I being discriminated against?

The company I currently work for offer opportunities to enter a management training programme. I have done continuous work towards this and have worked really hard to prove my worth to the company. I have been recognised throughout the whole UK company as being successful as a sales person. My question here relates to the fact that despite how hard I work, I never get the right recognition.
A ruling for the programme is that you must be able to drive - I am currently unable to drive but am trying to do this. I was told I couldn't be enrolled on the course until I could drive. Fair enough, however a male member of our team has just been promoted on to the programme despite him not being able to drive.
On another occassion a key holder position became available in store - the position was not advertised however I asked to be considered. Again I was refused on the basis that I cannot drive, but the person who had done it previously couldn't drive but was still allowed to do the job. Again, this person was a male.
I was not refused either of these roles based on incompetency, I have been told I am more than capable but my employer continually uses the excuse that I do not have my own transport. But surely I cannot be refused on these grounds when a a male is allowed to do it, when he is in the same situation as me?
I hope someone can give me some advice here, as I do not want to make an accusation at work of sexual discrimination, however this is how I am beginning to feel.

The first thing that I will like to tell you is that you should be satisfied with what you are doing. If you are not sure then try to find the reason for it this would help you to have a analyse of the problem. Now, if you think that you are a victim of any sort of discrimination then think about the reason and collect as much additional information about it and contact an attorney. However, I would suggest you to do so only if you really feel that those provided a chance were not really worthy of it and you were not provided a chance even though you were worthy of it.

According to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, it is illegal to discriminate an employee or applicant based on their race, color, national origin, sex or religion. This law also requires employers to provide reasonable accommodation to employees who wish to exercise sincerely held religious practices. The exemption to the rule is if the accommodation causes the employer undue hardship.
