    probation Violation

I have a friend who got a DUI sometime within the past year. She was put on probation, started serving her community service, paying her fines and basically did what she need to do to get off probation. Then she lost her job and failed a drug test by her probation officer and just started to give up. I honestly believe she is a good person who just hasn't quite grown up yet (early twenties). So then she hears from a friend in california who is coming to florida for a while and said she can live with him out there. I'm trying my hardest to make her realize the severity of violating probation, but she so blinded by her ignorant california dreams that she really doesn't take me serious I guess.

I'm looking for any kind of advice to help me explain to her just how important probation violation can be.

I believe it was her first offense when she got the DUI, tested positive for marijuana on a drug test for probation, then, violating her probation, left the state of Florida.

United States incarceration rate id very high compared to other countries in the world. Consequences of DUI probation violation can be sever. Consequences can vary in severity, so I would advise to consult a DUI lawyer who can help to reduce the severity of your punishment. You may be deprived of driving privileges, probation period may be extended, more fines may be charged.
