DUI in CA, license not confiscated-- do I need to request DMV hearing? I was arrested for DUI (controlled substances) in California.
After I was released from jail the next morning, they did NOT confiscate my license or give me a "pink sheet".
I've visited a few lawyers.
Some say that I must call the DMV within 10 days of the arrest to contest the suspension.
Others say, since my license was not confiscated and I didn't receive a pink sheet, then I don't need to call the DMV.
Note that I have an in-state (California) license.
What should I do? Do I need to contact the DMV?
