    Post Personal injury case

The state is MA. It's a personal injury case,my friend has a lawyer, but the lawyer said that she will be my friend's representative only in civil court. My friend is a victim. Is it possible to hire another attorney to represent my friend as a victim on the trial?Or DA is the only one who is gonna defend in criminal court? And if it's ok to hire the attorney, will it help?Is it worth the money? And one more question, please. Can we appeal the jurge's decision after the trial?Thank you so much!!!

It will always be more helpful to have an experienced, professional attorney represent you as opposed to your friend doing it themselves, with no legal training or knowledge. Why don't you hire the same attorney to represent you in all courts as opposed to having 2? After the trial, if you want to appeal the judge's order, he/she will give you and your lawyer information on how to do that.

Thanks a lot for the replies! Some people told me that if my friend is a victim, he doesn't need an attorney in the criminal case as the only thing he will do there is to testify what he witnessed and experienced. So now I am confused what to do. You think it's better to hire an attorney for him? Thank you !
