Grandson stole identity
I need some reassurance, my nephew stool my Mothers ss# and opened up several accounts (Verizon, Sprint, & a credit card) in her name with his address. She is 85 years old and does not understand what this crime can do to her credit. He has 7 years probation already for other identity theft cases, I really need to know that he is going to get some jail time for this. He is very smug and arrogant, and tells me he is going to get away with this just like he did the other cases. It hurts me so much that he is not at all sorry or embarrassed of his crimes especially what he did to his Grandmother, who has helped him numerous times, while he was using her name and SS# (before we new what he did) he actually had the nerve to borrow money from her.
I believe doing this to a senor citizen makes this crime more serious. I don't want him in jail for years, but a couple of months with no freedom I think would do the trick. He has a 4 year old daughter and his wife is just like him so I worry about his daughters future, I don't want her to turn out like her parents. We live in PA and we go to court November 19, 2009, I really hope he gets what he deserves.
P.S. I have my Mothers credit monitored every month and I do credit checks on her every 3 months with the 3 credit companies. I did everything that they recommended I do if you are a victim.
