California Formal Probation Long story short as possible:
The last day of my formal (felony) probation has come and gone ... I haven't been contacted by anyone nor sent any notification. For the last five years I have been sending in monthly reports as required and I have been making my restitution payments.
1) Is my probation now over for sure, or do I need to do something?
2) The original restitution amount was quite large and I am no where near finished paying it off, court agreed to monthly payments originally, which i have always made. It is my understanding that the remaining balance needs to be now sought after civilly by the victim(s) ... is that correct?
For those who are interested I plead guilty to and was thus convicted of 452(b) of the California Penal Code" Unlawfully causing a fire that causes an inhabited structure or inhabited property to burn. I was being stupid with fireworks and caused a small fire that scorched my apartment building. Damage wasn't all that bad.
Thank you for your time.
