    Construction Lien

I had a bathroom renovation completed recently and had to supply parts and have many problems remedied by myself due to the workmanship of the company hired. The company is aware of many of these costs but I still owe them final payment of about $3,500 less my costs of about $1,000. I have one more item to remedy and have offered them $500 until I know my final costs and then will compensate them accordingly.

If they do not agree and register a lien on my property does the lien ever expire if no payment is made and what are the details. Do we go to court first to work out payment if this gets out of hand.

    Thanks

Payment terms are the arrangement that you have with your creditor for repaying the obligation to them. When payment is received. But, most lenders offer a grace period for receipt of payments, partially for this reason. Your best bet is to give no less than three days mail time for a payment to be received.
