Inappropriate online advice?
Hi All
This may sound really dappy to ask but I was wondering if a forum/administrator could be sued or warned over wrong advice?
I only ask as it came up in conversation, a friend of mine belongs to a forum, that is not medical based and does not have any medical background or certificates for. Members are constantly handing out statements such as 'you should go see your GP as you seem to be suffering from seizers' and a few have stated things as bad as brain tumors.
I know it's petty but I thought I would try to set the record straight as I know reality law can be placed on the internet too, these days.
Yes, I know, take it with a pinch of salt.
Hope someone can advise
Kind regards
Zante

= You?
Being admin i got a costly warning because of somebody was called a "terrorist worse then OBL" and much more. We censored that really quick and banned the user.
Three things were very important
- quick removal of the "bad content".
- we penalized it.
- nobody of the admin team was involved.
When you are giving medical advices you can be sued and I would be unhappy if somebody has big problem if sb didn't went to the doctor because of my posting, independant of the laws.
The only medical advice i would give is: go to the doctors and talk to them about it.

I think you should still go to school. have a social life. you dont want to stay home because that will get boring after awhile. then you could hang out with friends and maybe find a boyfriend too. they teach you other things in life too not just subjects, like being on-time to classes, getting along with people, manners, etc. thats what i would do.
