Credit reports retain adverse credit information for seven years, and bankruptcy petitions for a ten-year period. Federal law requires credit bureaus to give consumers the right to inspect their credit report and write comments if they disagree with it.

I had a 50 pt difference between scores recently, so you need to check all three - at least your first time around. Once you see them all and if the scores and reports are similar, you can just check 1 at a time and spread them out over the year. Did you use annualcreditreport.com? that's the free site sanctioned by the gov. Others are copycats and often times not free. You should buy your scores as well as you want to see how lenders see you. They talk to you in terms of scores [usually] first.
