Question L1 (L1-B) visa & degree

Hello,

More then last three years I have been working in Ukrainian branch of the company that has many branches all over the world. The management are satisfied with my hard work and wants me to relocate to US to work in head branch. They asked me to prepare documents needed to apply for L1. I did it, however, the lawyer says that the only way to prove my unique experience (value) is to provide BS/MS diploma. I have not finished nor started any high school or college and have only five years of experience in IT/Capital Markets industry (software development). Is education is really necessary for L1B? Is there any other way to prove my value and unique experience? Thank you very much!

With best regards,
Vladyslav
