I am a seller on auction sites such as ebay etc. I have a business license under the name I have always had as my user/seller name on the auction site. I currently just changed my user/seller name on the auction site to help have a more mature sounding seller name. Do I now need to change the name of the business on the business license? Or is this not necessary? (prefer not to mess with it if I don't need to. Can I continue paying taxes under the original business name and continue purchasing wholesale with my original sellers permit name (obviously same as DBA) Or do I have to sign up to change my business license name just because my auction site user/seller name is now different?
