Do you have to be an Attorney to collect upfront fee's for BK's?
Hello,
I currently own a credit card counseling and debt settlement business. I was thinking of getting in to Bankruptcy to capture the clients that fall out of the programs. My question is... do I need to be an attorney to collect upfront fee's to file a BK for someone? Or can I refer BK clients to Law firms and just pay them to do the back end work? I currently operate in CA but do business all over the country.
Thanks
