defending myself in seatbelt tix.Can I get dismissal for officer not showing to trial

I am defending myself and have a bench trial set for August 11th and I have a feeling that one of the officers that pulled me over, issued and signed the ticket isn't going to show. Considering the fact that I have the right to question, cross and confront my witness wouldn't that allow me grounds for dismissal based on the fact that he won't be there for me to have the opportunity to do any of those? I do understand that they may attempt to get him to court but in the even that he doesn't show, what do you think?
    Thanks

    No show = No ticket.
