Need some help before applying for our visa!
Hello everyone,
I'm Katherine and I have a one year old daughter with my fiance Andrew, and we need your advise, we are planning on applying for a skills based visa as My fiance Andrew is an electrician, we hope to apply around the end october this year. We have done an online skills point test and andrew has the right amount of points needed.
Our question is do we need to get married before we apply for the skills based visa, or can we get married after we have applied for the visa?
We had planned on getting married on 3rd July 2011 as we want to have a nice hotel wedding before we left so our family can enjoy it and they can all be there, but moving to australia soon is very important to us and we want to move now so that our daughter is still young enough not to find the move to australia as hard.
so can anyone help us do we have to be married before we apply?
any help will be appreciated.

Since Eid 2008 some former residents, whose permits have expired within the previous two years, and who would normally have been granted visa on arrival, are being turned away at Doha airport. If you are in this situation, bring a letter of no objection from your former sponsor if you have one, and try and check the current situation with your airline.
