Flying with a (GA)Warrant I have no idea about..
Hello, I recently got stopped for speeding in my home state and I was told that I have a warrant in Georgia, but my home state does not extradite to Gerogia (this makes me assume its a bench warrant). There are no online warrant searches for the state of Georgia so I have no idea what it is for. I used to go to school in Georgia and was stopped once for speeding and had a terrible time in Polk County where I was taken to jail for riding in a car that once being searched had a small joint butt left in it. No one owned up to it so everyone in the car was arrested on under a half gram of marijuana, I was O/R'ed for that and never heard about it again.
I have no idea about this Warrant or what to do about it and I will be traveling internationally from Orlando to the UK in December, could I encounter any problems and what are the chances of it happening? I will be traveling with a lot of family and could be greatly embarrassed if something comes up on re-entering the country.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, please help!

The two incidents in Georgia both happened in 2005 and I have flew internationally a couple times since then with no problem, thought I would add that to. However the past couple times I have had no idea about the warrant (as I just found out after a recent speeding stop) so I dont even know if it had been served when I travled last.

Also
Another thing I just realised
Both times the warrant was mentioned by law enforcement it was during traffic stops where I DID NOT have my license on me. I had a traffic stop during both of these occasions where I DID have my license and the police officer did not mention the warrant. Is this something to ponder? someone with the same name as me coming up when the cops have to look me up with out a drivers license?

Extradition
www.themiamidefender.com
If this occurred in Polk Co Florida, Florida maintains the "Uniform Extradition Act" and they may pull you back here should they desire.
In the instance that it happened in any of the other 50 states your statement that "your home state does not extradite to Georgia" is incorrect. Interstate extradition was addresses by the founders in the federal constitution as follows:
"A person charged in ANY STATE (emphasis added) with Treason, Felony or other crime, who shall flee from justice, and be found in another state, shall on demand of the executive authority of the state from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the state having jurisdiction of the crime."
The US Supreme Court has held that this was effectuated in order "to preclude any state from becoming a sanctuary for fugitives from justice of another state.". As such, don't be too sure that you cannot be pulled back to wherever the offense occurred.
Should it in fact have taken place in Polk Co I would be happy to look into it.
