I NEED a lawyer to get my mother custody of my child...PLEASE???!!! I am looking for a family lawyer who can represent my mother in either a Van Zandt county court or Kaufman County court in Texas. My child was in my mother's care when cps came to take my child and my little sister. My mother at that time tested positive for drugs, so the children were of course taken. Cps told my mother and I to go to these classes...etc. Well, I didn't do it, but my mother has accomplished all the requirements and has passed several hair follicle tests......and my little sister is back home. My child is with a family member (non-parent), and the case was settled but left open for modification. We were going to try to press for my mother to gain custody of Jesslyn at the time of our final court date. Cps was of course putting their thoughts and opinions in on it, so they stated that there was no way my child was going to my mother.....Now, they gave her these tasks that she 100% completed, passed all the drug tests, took all the classes plus extra, and returned my little sister home with her. But she's not good enough to have my child back with her? My cousin whom has my child is a state caretaker of special needs children. I know she has it good with cps and who knows who else, but our lawyer we paid out the ass for really didn't try or push for nothing. I think my mother was done unfairly and they sided with my cousin because she probably knows somebody. We are willing to pay whatever to whoever can get my child to my mother. We are still possessory conservators of our child and we are ready to sign anything!!!! I know she's with family, but she's not home with our family.....If that makes any sense at all. We need a miracle and quickly. I am ready for anybody with information on who can help me......or if you're the person......come on and let's get this thing started, because I am so ready to get her back with us.
Respectfully, Kristi

Why did your lawyer not push the situation in a way that the tables could be turned? I would strongly recommend you to get in touch with a better lawyer because its your daughter we are talking about here and we know that kids are affected the most in such cases.

i think you have to change your lawyer because as i think he is not in your favour. you have to put your contact with a specialist lawyer, because its a matter of your child's future and she needs a protection to secure her future.

That's so terrible! I'm really sorry that happened to you! I'm sure you can get them back because you were not the one on drugs. Why did they want to take them from you in the first place?
