Default Domain Name Legal Issues (TM Domains)

As many of you involved in domain names may know our industry is a very common place for trademark disputes. These arise in many different situations but primarily concerning people involved in purchasing TM domain names. The term "cybersquater" is often associated with domain owners taking part in this practice.

Although many corporations could sue for their rightful domains, this is a very expensive process and unless a domain owner is using a domain in a way that directly conflicts with a businesses interest it is probably a waste of time for a corporation to pursue legal action against these domain owners.

Some of the internets leading attorneys for domain disputes include Ari Goldberger of esqwire.com and John Berryhill. If you are a domain owner that needs legal help in this area I highly recommend getting in touch with one of the above mentioned lawyers. They have won some extremely valuable cases over the years and can protect your investment from being lost!
